Fixed cases and current execution status

Four prepared media-verification cases, all unexecuted. These are detection-result records, not image-generation or product-fidelity scores. No positive detection, accuracy, cost or time result is assumed.

Prerequisites: A human accepts the applicable terms, confirms access and upload rights, and supplies permitted original files with known provenance. Use the portal manually; do not run bulk automated queries or attacks on detection.

Known-source AI image · Not executed

One permitted original image whose generating product, model/version, creation date and original export are documented. A human must supply the file; no sample or generation result is fabricated.

Manually submit the approved original file, record its hash and exact detection result, and preserve any error. Do not alter the file to attack or optimize watermark detection.

Expected: The observed result is retained with the source record, without treating a negative result as proof of human authorship.

  • Original input and its provenance are retained.
  • The exact result or failure message is retained.
  • No unsupported accuracy, authorship, licensing or product-fidelity conclusion is added.
Original camera photo control · Not executed

One permitted camera-original photo with a documented capture record, supplied by a human. Do not use an AI-generated image as this control.

Manually submit the approved original file and retain the source, exact result and any failure message. Do not assume the tool must return a particular label.

Expected: The actual result remains separate from the independently documented photo provenance; one control does not establish a false-positive rate.

  • The camera-original source record is available.
  • The exact result or failure message is retained.
  • No accuracy percentage or commercial-use clearance is inferred from this single file.
Known-source video · Not executed

One permitted original video with a documented source and export, supplied by a human. Accepted type, duration and size must be checked in the portal.

Manually submit the approved file and retain the exact result, any segment indication shown, and any unsupported-file or access failure. Do not invent timestamps.

Expected: Only observed file or segment results are recorded; no detection is not a universal authorship judgment.

  • Original video and source record are retained.
  • Every displayed result and failure is preserved.
  • File-wide or segment conclusions do not exceed what the UI actually shows.
Known-source audio · Not executed

One permitted original audio file with a documented source and export, supplied by a human. Accepted type, duration and size must be checked in the portal.

Manually submit the approved file and retain the exact result and any failure. Record actual active time and any displayed charge or quota; leave unavailable values unknown.

Expected: The actual audio result is retained without inventing a detected watermark, charge, allowance or elapsed time.

  • Original audio and source record are retained.
  • The exact result or failure message is retained.
  • Cost, quotas and timing are reported only when actually observed.

Who is it for?

Ecommerce teams recording the source of image, video and audio assets before reviewing them for publication.

What the product advertises

  • Upload an image, video or audio file to check for supported SynthID watermarks
  • Google's announcement lists Google, OpenAI, NVIDIA and Kakao; Apple is described as coming soon
  • The official UI example shows a detected watermark and identifies media as made or edited with Google AI

Platform fit

Standalone media watermark check; platform tags describe a pre-publication workflow, not native store connections. Platform tags can describe a native connection, marketplace data, or exported content. The access and limitation notes below explain what to confirm.

Access and setup

Browser portal at synthid.com. Google advertises global availability in English. The first-visit screen requires acceptance of Google Terms of Service and additional restrictions. Sign-in requirements and account-level allowances have not been tested. Confirm the current availability and supported workflows in the official product documentation before choosing a plan.

Pricing notes

Google announced global English-language access on October 7, 2026. The sources reviewed here do not establish a numeric price, a free entitlement, a paid plan or a daily allowance. Confirm the current access conditions and quotas in the portal; no per-file cost has been measured.

Limits to check

  • A watermark check is scoped to supported watermarks; no detection is not proof of human authorship
  • A detected watermark does not establish product fidelity, licensing, commercial-use rights or platform compliance
  • Partner names do not establish coverage of every model, historical output or file from that provider
  • The portal's additional terms prohibit automated bulk verification, quota evasion and attacks on watermark detection
  • The privacy notice says original uploads are deleted after results; a user-linked media signature is retained for 24 hours for anti-abuse controls
  • Accepted formats, file-size limits, account quotas, detection accuracy and elapsed time have not been measured here

How to evaluate it

Use one real task and a written set of success criteria. Check output accuracy, source traceability, setup time, and total cost. Review any proposed store action before enabling it. This listing summarizes public information; it does not establish performance in your store.
